This is no longer a remodel...maybe it's a rebirth, rebuild, reconstruction...it defiantly ain't a "remodel" that's forsure. We've been working at this for 4 months so far, and folks we are far from done. This is a project to say the least, but that's ok..."it'll be worth it" right ;). We been focussing a lot on floors these days. We got the subfloor competely down in the first one, for lack of a better name, and not we've moved on to the...second room, maybe the bedroom/bathroom. We tore up the old floor and the hardwood and I've been driving out nails on that, while at the same time we took out the oil tank and took down the log joists and doodle and chase staring tearing into the foundation where the grade of the yard was collecting water towards the house, which was causing a mess, to say the least. So as an update lets say we're into the big stuff.
Also we've now got a new addition to the family, Lucky, who survived a whiskey hunt and is not the barn kitty. Chase found salamander eggs in the foundation wall, and we had a close friend bob stop by this weekend and see this mess.
It's been a good two weekends. I give an open ended apology to everyone, because we haven't been around much this summer, and it won't change any time soon. I miss seeing everyone and being around but as of right now, I guess we won't be seeing anyone much. I know that those who matter don't mind and will still be around come "housewarming time" and in the great scheme of things those are the only ones who matter. This is just the beginning, and I constantly think "we're crazy" but that's ok...it's all gonna be worth it ;)
